American provided full engineering services for miscellaneous minor design assignments including sidewalk additions, roadway widening, milling, and resurfacing, safety improvements, resurfacing, restoration and rehailitation (3R) assignments, design surveys, pavement design, drainage, signing and pavement markings, traffic control plans, drainage improvements, signalization and pedestrian improvements, utility coordination, public involvement, ADA improvements and environmental permitting. Projects completed under this contract are:
- SR 369 (US 319) Intersection Improvements, Wakulla County: Design widening, milling, resurfacing and safety improvements. The roadway was widened at the intersections of Lonnie Raker Lane, East Ivan Road, and Whiddon Lake Road to provide left-turn lanes. An existing dual 24-inch cross drain was also extended to accommodate the additional roadway width. Task completed in 2006.
- SR 189 (Beal Parkway) Sidewalk Improvements, Okaloosa County: Sidewalk design, ADA upgrades and curb ramps for approximately 1.3 miles. Additional work included replacing existing drainage structure tops to be flush with the new sidewalk. Task completed in 2006.
