As Project Engineer, Mr. Moschetto designed, permitted and provided construction observation and management services for the proposed water main relocation for FDOT’s I-4/I-275 Downtown Interchange road widening and drainage construction JPA project in Tampa. The project is 2.6 miles long and extends on I-275 from the Hillsborough River to Floribraska Ave. and on I-4 from Nebraska Ave. to 19th St. Mr. Moschetto researched the City of Tampa Water Department records with respect to pipe age and material, main break reports, coupon studies, meter and service connections, performed conflict analysis based on FDOT plans and vacuum excavates to ascertain the depth of mains in conflict with the proposed FDOT construction. He prepared a report detailing the condition of the mains, salvage analysis, and recommended action; negotiated with FDOT on behalf of the city to abate potential conflicts between FDOT proposed construction and the city’s facilities and assembled a complete JPA package consisting of JPA Plans, Technical Special Provisions, Relocation Schedule, Engineers Estimate and all the necessary permits for the project.
