FDOT District 1 contracted with American to serve as an extension of their in-house structures design staff by performing a wide variety of miscellaneous structural design services. These tasks can include the design and inspection of bridges and other structures, the review of plans, the emergency inspection of damaged or failing structures, the participation in value engineering studies as either a team member or a team leader, the production of district semi-standards or by providing support in any other way as needed. These task assignments typically have short durations that require quick and accurate responses.
A few of highlighted assignments include:
- Design of numerous mast arms and various other miscellaneous structures
- Develop repair plans for damaged light pole foundation on US 41
- Preparation of Concept Reports/0% Reviews of numerous projects
- LRFR load rating for bridge culvert on County Line Road in Hardee County
- Failure Analysis and Rehabilitation Alternatives Report for Box Culvert on SR 655 (Recker Highway)
